You can find out about the history of Docklands here. It takes about 2 hours to see round the museum.

There is a café in the Museum shop. It is open everyday.

There is also a restaurant called 1802. It is fully licensed.
Tables and chairs are not fixed to the floor.

The café:
Opens at 10:00am and closes at 6:00pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

It is 2 minutes walk from the West India DLR and next to the green pontoon bridge.

There is free accessible parking. It's best to ring and book a space the day before you go.
Bus logo  Local mobility bus routes
D3, 277, D6, and D8 are the nearest fully accessible buses.
If you catch the 115 mobility bus you need to get off at Canning Town and get on the underground,
OR get off at Limehouse and get on the DLR.
Underground logo  Tube
(Jubilee Line) - Canary Wharf underground station is about 520 metres from Docklands Museum.
Canary Wharf underground station is accessible for people using a wheelchair.
It also has accessible toilets.
Approx 520 meters from the station.

West India Quay is about 240 metres from Docklands Museum.
West India Quay is accessible for people using a wheelchair.

British Rail stations are not close to the Docklands Museum.
It's best to take a water taxi, the DLR or Jubilee line to get there.
